A fully three-dimensional, life-size Cardiopulmonary System Model that includes the lungs, trachea, heart, and oesophagus plus a complete larynx with vocal cords.
The right half of the larynx can be removed, as well as the heart and half of the left lung, which exposes the bifurcation of the trachea and bronchial tree, and the pulmonary arteries and veins. The heart itself splits into halves to show its four chambers and valves, thus providing an understanding of the directional blood flow there. Pulmonary circulation can also be easily traced, and with major vessels of the systemic circulation depicted, blood flow through the entire body can be demonstrated.
The instructor's manual identifies the Cardiopulmonary System Model's 58 labeled parts. The Heart and Respiratory Organs Model comes mounted on a hardwood base.
