This eye model represents the eyeball with the optic nerve in its natural position within the bony orbit. This eyeball and socket model demonstrates the relationship between the outer structures of the eye, bones, muscles and the eye itself. Removable structures include a tear gland, vitreous humour, eye lens, lachrymal system, cornea half, rectus superior, rectus lateralis, the optic nerve and two halves of the sclera.
