An advanced catheter skills simulator1023008 / P93SPC-F (Light), 1023324 / P93SPC-FD (Dark) which enables female bladder catheterisation techniques to be realistically demonstrated, practised and assessed either via the urethra (transurethral) or the abdominal wall (suprapubic).
The genital insert is held in place on the anatomically correct lower abdominal model using magnets. The material has been designed to be soft and flexible to offer realism, for example the labia can be moved and separated to enable the students to practise effectively.
The female catheterization trainer has been designed to offer resistance when the catheter is being inserted and the catheter can be inserted to the correct depth. The simulation will also allow fluid to flow out through the tube, when correctly inserted, as it would with a real patient. The abdominal wall on the PRO version can be removed for better visualization of the procedure during urethral catheterization and the catheter can be checked through the transparent bladder.
The simulator is easy to clean, quick to set up and dismantle and is secure for tabletop use thanks to non-slip feet.A sponge on the inside prevents a build-up of moisture. The Catheterization Simulator PRO is ideal for nursing and health care training courses. NB: previously the P93P-F /1020229.

Please note: catheters with only one or two drainage eyes opposite each other are recommended for use with this trainer. Both silicone and PVC catheters can be used. We recommend the following catheters: Urethral narrowing open = 16 CH catheter or 14 CH balloon catheter; Urethral narrowing partial narrowing = 14 CH catheter or 12 CH balloon catheter. It is recommended that when using the simulation, lubricating gel (not included) should be placed into the urethra or on the tip of the catheter to ensure that the catheter can be smoothly inserted.
