Furthermore, the water-repellent material makes them ideal for use in wet or foul conditions, such as those encountered in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defence scenarios. The flame-retardant material is another advantage, that gives it the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees Celsius.
