The VATA Dehisced Wound Board is a practical training tool to help educate medical professionals, students and patients about dehisced wounds and how to care for them. From wound cleansing to measurement and dressing changes, multiple skills can be practised and performed on this dehisced wound board. The life-like, flexible material on this VATA wound board allows the placement of dressings, and dressings with negative wound therapy devices, to be applied without leaving an adhesive residue.
This VATA model consists of a 4.75 ? x 1.25 ? stapled dehisced wound with both undermining and tunnelling present in the wound.
Patient approved ointments*, vacuum-assisted closure and standard dressings can be demonstrated by trainers or practised by students with this skin graft wound board.
*Please Note: Do not use ointments or dressings that contain silver as they may stain the model.
