Discover the SUSIE and SIMON Newborn Advanced Care Simulator, a newborn baby simulator designed to represent a paediatric patient aged between 0-8 weeks old. The detailed and realistic baby manikin can be used to practice baby care techniques and core clinical skills. Provides medical, nursing and midwifery students with hands-on experience.

The newborn baby is supplied with interchangeable genitalia, so it can be a girl or a boy. Students will gain competence in procedures such as nasogastric intubation, neonatal male/female catheterisation, and the heel stick / finger prick technique.

The key clinical skills that can be taught and practiced using the paediatric skills manikin include:

• Removable internal tanks enable the practice of male and female catheterisation, including the urethral passage and bladder
• Enema administration
• Realistic eyes for ophthalmic examination
• Simulated ear canal for otic drops and irrigation
